What if I have an emergency after hours?
If you believe you have matters that cannot wait until normal business hours, an on-call physician is available by dialing our office number. Questions related to appointments, lab results, or other results please call during regular office hours.
During your first visit, you can expect to be asked about your medical history, undergo a physical examination, and talk with the surgeon about additional tests or surgeries that may be necessary.
Almost all surgery has an associated risk, which is why it is important to discuss the risks and benefits of surgery. The surgeon will provide information about the possible complications and potential side effects that may occur during or after the procedure.
Our surgeons provide patients with the option to have their surgery at Emory Johns Creek Hospital or Atlanta Outpatient Surgery Center (AOSC).

As advances in medical technology, anesthesia and pain control continue, many less invasive surgical procedures are now being performed on an outpatient basis. Common procedures that are now routinely performed on an outpatient basis include hernia repairs, thyroid surgery, and gallbladder removals.
